About The Burton Head
The inanugural Burton Head was held in 2007 after its unfortunate cancellation in 2006 due to flood. The Burton Head is held over 3500m, downstream, on the river Trent. The Burton Head is organised and hosted by both Burton Leander RC and Trent RC.
The 2007 event was a great success with over 100 entries attended by clubs from all over the region including Bewdley, Trentham, Nottingham and Leicester. The club houses were a hive of activity and much positive feedback was recieved from all that attended. The Burton Head 2007 was also fortunate for the inaugural event to be featured in the Rowing Magazine publication, the article for which can be linked to below.
